SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

Perform routine and non-routine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, and production shops. Responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which requires technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy. Items are less stable or standardized and do not lend themselves to routine control through the use of the computer and variable supply level formulas. Plans requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs. Identifies, labels, documents and handles hazardous material in storage areas. Insures the safe receipt, storage and movement of hazardous and toxic materials and substances in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Insures compliance with Federal, State, Department of Defense (DOD), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules and regulations. Incumbent works under the general direction of a supervisor. Performs duties in accordance with established procedures and operating instructions. Work is accomplished with a high degree of independence, and the incumbent is considered the facility HAZMAT technical expert. Incumbent is often required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. May lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 lbs. heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with the assistance of other workers. Responsible to identify, collect, process and consolidate hazardous waste in preparation for disposal. Be required to identify, safely process, package, and ship or dispose of a wide variety of hazardous products and materials. Uses computer skills to maintain accountability, complete required reports, retrieve data pertaining to storage, and to complete administrative actions to properly process hazardous waste and materials. Responsible for the operation, management and accountability of the shop Tool Room. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED Military Grades:

Must have a minimum of 12 months:
Experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
-Open to applicants E1-E8 and Warrant Officer W1-W3 -Must complete GCSS-A and local HAZMAT training. -Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. -Applicants may possess any MOS but must become MOS qualified in any of the MOS listed above within one year of hire. -In order to be eligible, applicants must have a current military status. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
