Our client in the Colchester VT area is looking to add a Right-of-Way Administrator to their full time staff. Candidates interested in this position will be responsible for coordinating and performing duties relating to the procurement of easements, real estate deeds, covenants, rail road licenses, or other right-of-ways. The Right-of- Way Administrator is also responsible for negotiation with landowners to obtain right-of-way agreements. Responsibilities for the Administrator
Compose documents for easements, licenses and partial releases. Work with landowners to resolve damage claim settlements. Prepare lease and contract agreements.
Maintain right-of-way records related to lease records, permits, and licenses. Develop and maintain records database and reports.
Obtain permissions regarding access and entry from property owners and regulatory authorities.
Oversee the performance of duties associated with drafting, procurement, and filing of easements, real estate deeds, liens, covenants, or other right-of-ways in support of marketing, energy efficiency and engineering functions.
Obtain and negotiate permits and authorization from Rail Road and state government agencies.
Support the Gas Control and Gas Supply departments as needed. Ensure Gas Control Associate is trained and familiar with easement and other right-of-way terminology and procedures to assist during peak work periods.
Requirements for the Administrator
Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, public administration or related field or equivalent experience in the utility industry, land acquisitions and right of way permitting work.
Five or more years of experience in acquisition of right-of-ways and easements in a construction or utility environment.
Proficient computer software and spreadsheet analysis skills.
Strong focus on safety and customer relations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
