As a member of the
Leadership Team, the VP of Quality and Education Services will take a lead role in executing the VNA s vision of providing the best possible care for our patients, clients, families, and communities. You will lead, coordinate, and support the education and staff development activities for the Agency. In addition, the VP of Quality and Education Services will guide and direct the quality improvement and risk management efforts of the Agency
Oversee the provision of continuing educational efforts (mandatories, in-services, tele-conferences, and other learning opportunities) for clinical and support staff
Support Human Resources in providing and coordinating an effective process of orientating new employees to the organization and leadership development
Help ensure the clinical competency for professional and paraprofessional direct care staff by supporting the development, conducting and tracking of competency evaluations
Direct and guide the overall quality improvement efforts of the agency
Facilitate the development of agency-wide priorities/performance improvement goals
Oversee the collection and analysis of data that measures progress towards of our vision of providing the best possible care, being a great place to work and ensuring a sustainable future
Support the clinical directors in their program evaluation and reporting
Design, facilitate and support departmental and organizational improvement initiatives, projects, and teams
Conduct root cause analyses for critical incidents to understand why they happened, discover that systems and processes underlie the proximate causes, and develop and implement risk reduction strategies to prevent future incidents
BSN required (APRN or NP), Master s Degree or the equivalent desirable, and 3 to 5 years of relevant clinical, quality and/or management experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Experience in healthcare management or quality improvement.
Strong supervisory and planning skills.
Relevant knowledge of local and national health care regulatory systems and issues.
Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking skills.
VT Driver s License required.
All Agency Employees are required to carry Automobile Insurance. The minimum requirements for Bodily Injury are $100,000 per person and $300,000 per incident. Proof of Insurance is required upon hire.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
